Upcoming Kiwanis Events in our Community

Easter Egg Hunt - Easter

Our Easter Egg Hunt, held on Easter Saturday morning, is a popular event for the kids.

Bring your kids out to Kiwanis Parks to collect the eggs, get donated toys and games, and have a chance to win the grand prize by finding the Golden Egg!

Held in conjunction with the Rotary Club’s Easter Egg Hunt for younger kids, held earlier that morning.

Teddy Bear Picnic - May

Our Teddy Bear Picnic is a wonderful local event that entertains kids of all ages, as well as raising funds for the Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario. Starting with a “teddy bear” parade down Main Street that ends at Watson Park, it features live music, storytelling, activities for kids such as face-painting, awards for the most distinctive bears, balloons and much more.

Always held on a Saturday in May, our next Teddy Bear Picnic will be in May 2025. If you have “littles” or are young at heart, you’ll love this event and help support an important children’s facility in SW Ontario.

Fish Fry - Spring & Fall

Our Fish Fry, featuring deliciously breaded Lake Erie perch or pickerel, along with fries, all the good fixings & homemade dessert sells out whenever it is held.

We usually hold two a year – in the late spring and early fall.

Our next Fish Fry will be held Saturday, September 21 from 4:30-6:30 PM at the Morpeth Community Hall. Tickets are $25 for adults, $12 for children, and are available at the door.

Annual Golf Tournament - August

Our annual golf tournament & ball drop is eagerly anticipated each year and is generously supported by our local merchants and community. All the proceeds go towards our local service projects.

Golf ball drop tickets are available at local merchants or from our members during July.

It is held annually in early August at the Ridgetown Golf Course.

Hallowe'en Bus - October

Come and be scared in our Hallowe’en Bus! Every year, we decorate up the Hallowe’en Bus and invite all children of Ridgetown brave enough to go through it.

Lots of screaming & laughter for everyone & enjoy a goodie bag afterwards – although the adults usually seem to scream the loudest!

Santa Claus Parade - December

Our Santa Claus Parade is a highlight of the Christmas season in Ridgetown. One of the few daytime parades around, it starts near the high school and proceeds along Main Street through downtown.

This year we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Parade and the theme is “Christmas Traditions”. Decorate your float accordingly and you could win one of several cash prizes for best in category or best overall.

There is no registration required – we welcome all participants, especially those decorated with our annual theme! More information will be available closer to the parade date.

The 2025 parade will be on Saturday, December 14th at 1 PM.
